I don’t know how long this baby quilt has been kicking around, or how long ago I started it, or whose baby I even started it for. Frankly, all I care about it that there is one less unfinished project in the sewing room!
It’s a bit odd of a color combination – pink, yellow and gray – but it works (I think). Rather than buy more fabric for a backing, I pieced leftovers together and, honestly? I kind of like the back more than the front! It has a certain je ne sais quois. Then, I did another spectacularly crappy machine quilting job, because I need the practice. (This one just might get donated.) And, alas, there are virtually no good places in this house to take quilt pictures, so these must suffice.
Pattern is an old Quiltmaker Magazine pattern I’ve had kicking around for ages, it was republished back in 2008 (see here). The bee print is from the Heather Ross “Briar Rose” line.
