I had to finish the Maine quilt in order to make another one for a coworker who is expecting pretty much any day now. I was doing well until I came down with bronchitis a few weeks ago, and then all I could muster was to walk past the sewing table and sigh, lacking the energy for pretty much anything. I was worried the baby would come before I finished the quilt, but happily I finally got the binding on this while on vacation last week and delivered it today. *phew*
Calypso Kitty took a special interest in this one…I think she somehow knew it was going to live in a house with a dog. Cats seem to sense these things.
Pattern – the usual “Yellow Brick Road“, baby sized, using pastel batiks (including little baby elephants!)
