Since we keep forgetting what birds we’ve seen and where we’ve seen them, I’m going to try to record that sort of thing here along with some of my photos. My photo quality has taken a bit of a dive here as I’m learning how to shoot in manual mode, trying to figure out aperture and shutter speed, but it’s one of those things you just have to keep working at. (Or so they tell me…)
Today we meandered through the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge in Harvard. In addition to this little guy swimming around….
…we saw several Palm Warblers, which were in no mood to stay still long enough to let me take their picture.
After Oxbow, we meandered over to the Acton Arboretum where I yet again managed to shoot a picture in nature that looks like a fake studio prop:
I also caught this little Tufted Titmouse, which I must say is a terrible name for a bird:
